House Moving FAQ

  • Most house moves from LA to SF are completed in one day. Loading typically takes 3–6 hours depending on home size, the drive is 6–7 hours, and unloading takes another 3–5 hours. Larger homes (4BR+) may require an overnight with delivery the next morning.

  • For dressers, you can usually leave lightweight clothing in drawers — we'll wrap and move the entire piece. However, we recommend removing items from closets, kitchen cabinets, and bathroom drawers, and packing them in boxes for safer transport.

  • Yes. Beds, dining tables, desks, entertainment centers, and other large furniture will be disassembled for safe transport and reassembled at your new SF home. This is included in our full-service moves.

  • Cost depends on home size, the volume of belongings, and any specialty items or packing services. We provide free quotes with a do-not-exceed labor cap so the price we quote is the maximum you'll pay, not an estimate that grows on move day.

  • Yes. We are fully licensed and insured. We also use professional packing materials furniture blankets, stretch wrap, and padding to protect your belongings throughout the journey.

  • Yes. We have the equipment and expertise to move pianos, pool tables, safes, and other ultra-heavy items. Just let us know what you have when you request a quote so we can plan accordingly.

  • Plants and perishable food can travel with you in your car they won't survive a day in a moving truck. Hazardous materials (paint, propane, chemicals, ammunition) cannot legally be transported in a moving truck and should be disposed of or transported separately.
